The Back Relief Method

Real Change Through Subtle Movement

Awareness-Based Transformation

Once you understand how your body really works, everything changes. In this course, you’ll learn how movement and force can be transmitted through the body with clarity and balance — not effort. You’ll discover how counterbalance allows you to move with precision, how to distribute effort more evenly, and how organized movement leads to real, lasting relief.

A Smarter Approach to Relief

This isn’t about stretching or strengthening — it’s about learning how your body actually works. The Back Relief Method uses intelligent, whole-body movement to help you reorganize how you move, so effort is distributed more evenly and strain is reduced at the source. You’ll begin to move with more clarity, balance, and lasting ease — without pushing through pain.

Rooted in Real Experience

Samantha brings years of experience teaching Feldenkrais in physical therapy settings, where she has worked with people of all ages, movement histories, and levels of ability — including those with complex or long-standing challenges.

Her approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change starts with feeling safe in your body. She guides each lesson slowly and calmly, creating a space where movement becomes clear, accessible, and deeply supportive.

What you will learn :

Lesson 1 – Pelvic Clock

In this 1 hour lesson, you’ll learn how your pelvis and head move together as a coordinated system — and how your feet guide and influence that connection.Understanding how your head and pelvis support one another is key to allowing force to transmit evenly through your body — reducing strain and building a more efficient foundation for movement. Lesson 2 – Counterbalance in Motion

Now that you’ve experienced how your pelvis and feet support the movements of your head, this lesson introduces a deeper concept: counterbalance. You’ll begin to sense how different parts of the body move in relationship — how the action of your pelvis, ribs, shoulders, and head can balance one another in motion.

Understanding how to counterbalance in this way leads to effortless posture and back muscles that support you without overworking. Press play to sample.

Lesson 3 – Dynamic Spine: Movement in Every Plane

Seated upright, you’ll integrate what you’ve learned to explore movement through your entire spine—in multiple directions. The Back Relief Method

by Samantha Arbelo LMT, GCFP

Samantha has spent over 15 years immersed in movement education. She began her career as a licensed massage therapist, driven by a desire to offer her clients deeper, longer-lasting relief. That commitment led her to pursue a certification in Pilates, expanding her ability to support people through movement. But even then, she knew something was missing — both for her clients and in addressing her own lifelong struggles with back pain.

In 2015, while teaching Pilates at a physical therapy clinic, Samantha was introduced to the Feldenkrais Method — and immediately recognized it as the missing piece. She went on to complete a four-year professional Feldenkrais training in 2020, and in 2024 began the IOPS Academy, a two-year advanced program with Jeff Haller.

Her work is grounded in the belief that true change doesn’t come from being told what to do — it comes from discovering what you’re truly capable of. Samantha’s goal is to guide people into that experience, helping them find clarity, confidence, and power in their own movement.
